Hands of Hope Tucson has several volunteer openings for those with a heart to serve either at our Pregnancy Medical Center or on one of our Deeper Still Abortion Healing Retreats. Candidates must demonstrate a passion for Jesus Christ and compassion for people facing an unplanned pregnancy and those who have had a past abortion experience.


We will be holding an In-Person Volunteer Orientation on Thursday, November 4th at 7:00PM where you can meet the team and find out more about each volunteer opportunity.

Current Volunteer needs

Client Advocates

Duties include working directly with those facing an unplanned pregnancy. Volunteers should have excellent communication and people skills and be able to create a welcoming atmosphere, engaging with clients on a one-on-one basis. Hands of Hope Tucson Onboard Training as well as training specific to Client Advocacy. A commitment at least 4 hours per week is required.

Front Desk Support Team

Duties include greeting clients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, scanning and uploading forms into files. This position requires Hands of Hope Tucson Onboard Training as well as training specific to front desk support. A commitment of at least 4 hours per week is required.

Registered Nurse

This position will involve training in client advocacy, pregnancy testing, STI Testing, and medical administrative tasks. Once training in these areas are completed, the volunteer will be trained in Limited Obstetric Ultrasound and work under the direction of the Nurse Manager. The Volunteer must be able to give at least 2 years of their time, if they desire to be trained as an Ultrasound Nurse. Nurse candidate must have an active RN License in the state of Arizona.

retreat team members

Deeper Still Retreat team members are required to attend the Hands of Hope Onboard Training as well as a 10 hour training specific to the Deeper Still retreats. This position is intermittent with 3 retreats occurring each year. Retreat volunteers need to be able to devote a full weekend (Thurs-Sun) to attend at least one retreat each year. This will include travel to the retreat venue (usually no more than 120 miles from Tucson). There are also other mandatory meetings/trainings that occur throughout the year.

Church liasons

The Church Liaison is responsible for promoting Hands of Hope by organizing activities and events within their church, communicating regularly with Hands of Hope staff, and generating awareness and enthusiasm for the ministry in their church community.

special event volunteer

Hands of Hope hosts two special events a year, the raiseHope Walk for Life that takes place in the Spring and the Gala Fundraising Event that takes place in the Fall. This is a great way for a church group, individual, or family to get involved and support us through these community-wide fundraising events.
